Professor Riaz Asaria has been working as a consultant at the Royal Free Hampstead NHS Trust since 2005 where he also teaches and leads ophthalmology research. He is also the lead for undergraduate ophthalmology teaching at UCL Medical School where he is an associate professor.
He is actively involved in humanitarian work and has helped set up surgical retina services in Iraq and in other countries.
Professor Asaria regularly attends international meetings and is often invited as a lecturer with other experts. He is considered to be one of the most accomplished eye surgeons in the country because of his excellent surgical skills and experience.
He specialises in retinal diseases, cataract surgery, macular degeneration, trauma and eye emergencies, medical glaucoma, and general ophthalmology.
Mr Zine El Housseini

Mr El Housseini is a consultant ophthalmologist with a special interest in surgical and medical retinal conditions, refractive cataract surgery and laser eye correction.
He is currently the lead clinician for the North Central London Diabetic Eye Screening Programme. He is also the clinical group pathway leader for the retinal service and the digital lead for ophthalmology at the Royal Free Hospital in London.
Mr El Housseini is the deputy academic lead and an examiner for MBBS medical students at the University College London (UCL). He has co-authored various publications on ophthalmology and vitreoretinal surgery.
Mr Jignesh Patel BSc (Hons) MBBS FRCOphth MD

Mr Patel has been working as a consultant since 2009. He has lectured and published extensively in diabetic related eye disease. He is also head of the retinal research unit at Colchester Hospital.
Mr Patel's specialist interests are in cataract surgery, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, surgery for retinal detachment, macular holes and epiretinal membranes, and diabetic related retinal surgery.
